Right I’m gonna get flamed for this but I’m only saying what I see.
Start at the back to me Greenfield is definitely our go to tender he’s not put a foot wrong so far and is without doubt the goalie we’ve been missing for many seasons.
Ostlund as clearly been brought in in the number 2 position, what team would sign a player for two years MBA without seeing him perform?
The defence is heavily offensive and were clearly told last night to shut the door with recent goals against, the cost to this is our
Forwards look toothless without Petgrave or Piche quarterbacking the play! Nevalainen will be the player to depart should we change things up for a more solid D man.
We look weak again at the centre positions
Face offs continue to be more miss than hits
Neumann scored last night but his positioning is terrible I’ve never witnessed a player go offside as many times as him, I’ve counted 9 times in 4 games he got the mom at Manchester I feel he’s suited to the smaller rinks of North America. The big ice doesn’t suit his game, he’s a crash the net type player with limited skill set.
The only time we look dangerous is on the special teams Ciampini seems in his element on the PP and I expect this is where he will gain points this season
Him and Raska are our beacons of hope this year.
5 on 5 as stated on the Manchester game thread we look lost clearly missing two or three quality forwards that can hit the twine.
Allen, pitule, and Neumann for me are underwhelming and I feel this is where we will lose goals this season it’s early days but the Cardiff game will confirm for me where we are in relation to the league, I’m predicting a rather heavy loss!

I agree with the points about the tendys, and all the forwards, the defence definitely looks rather offensive (especially with Piche's one timer) though I do think Nevalainen isn't too bad as a defensive man. Overall, I would still like to reserve my judgement till we get a couple weeks into the regular season.House_of_Steel wrote: ↑Sun Sep 04, 2022 1:32 pmRight I’m gonna get flamed for this but I’m only saying what I see.

Greenfield gets the start again, Ostlund scratched with Warburton on the bench.

Seems strange to scratch Ostlund when ice game time is what he needs.

Blaze leading 1-0 in the 1st
Unless he’s picked up an injury. This doesn’t make sense to me. 2 year Uni deal, no game time, when Ostlund himself admits that’s exactly what he needs?paul johnston wrote: ↑Sun Sep 04, 2022 5:30 pmSeems strange to scratch Ostlund when ice game time is what he needs.
Must be an injury?

Jones scored to make it 2-2
Blaze then go onto a 5/3 pp and make it count.
Currently 3-2
