It looks like this rumours page and Steeltalk members used the source's and internet/rumour accounts (we know of at least 2/3 of those page are authored by steeltalk members) pretty well in the down season and one way or another pretty much named (forcast) every player we actually signed. Keep it up guys, typing away in your darkened bedrooms lol

Yeah there definitely is someone with ties to some club officials somewhere. Way too accurate this year!
Quite happy I managed to suggest Greenfield though, had absolute no idea I just went looking for netminders who played with ex players last season and he was one of them!

You've just started a mole hunt Doom, they can't have the fans knowing things before publication. The "Simms Hockey Intelligence Team" will be all over it interviewing suspects, planting bugs, planting false stories to expose leakers etc. And then they will produce a ( insert quoted capital letters ) report demonstrating remarkable ability with a set of chewed crayons.
Some fans will have genuine sources, people like to talk. Admin were given the name of one major signing in advance by an impeccable source but we agreed not to mention it, we kept our word, others will have done the same. If you turn it into a battle with fans on social media they are more likely to spill the beans as a result. The number of times we get contacted because Steelers media have "annoyed" someone is unbelievable, and you can swap "annoyed" for a few other expressions
Happy with the signings, as always the judgement will come after we see how they play.

I've seen some be pretty scathing of the rumours accounts on twitter, they get some right and some wrong. Thats the nature of rumours! I suspect for example that we may have negotiated with or tried for Conway (as rumours accounts suggested) but ultimately didn't happen.
But overall as Doom says a lot have been accurate and come to fruition this summer.
