I just have a scene in my head where he gets frustrated with his own performance due to a failing body and gives away too many expensive penalties. I really hope this is a false scenario.
To be fair he did this when he was fully fit..
I think with Connolly you have to except a certain amount of that when you sign him, as it's in his character!
I know ideally we wouldn't want any of that but some of that is what makes him a good player to have because he draws so many retaliatory penalties opposing players cant handle him and often double up on him and leave space for his team mates to exploit..
in short he is a real pain in the ass..
I really hope the fans dont get on his case early in the season..
I have no issues with the odd daft penalty from Connolly.
I found most games under Fox quite bland when he was injured and I think we need some of his feisty play and wind ups. He stands up for himself and gets in players faces which what the Steelers identity USED to be all about.
I reckon his rink rattery will draw more penalties then he will take and he can put good players off their game.
My concern as many others is if he can stay fit. If we get a 20 goal Connolly then I can easily forgive his odd daft penalty

Bit in two minds about BC re-signing to be honest.
Sure he's got the experience and on his day; can be pretty much unplayable. He can be the man to turn a game on its head for you. However, on the flip side he picks up his daft penalties which a few of us have alluded to and the serious concern, is he fully over his injury? As you get older, injuries take longer to heal and believe you me...I know this myself!
It's a risk but Aaron must think it's one worth taking. Time will tell if it was the right one.
