Cardiff have retained 5”8” Canadian forward Cole Sanford.

The 26 year old iced 66 EIHL games last season scoring 64 points on the way to a playoff title.

He’d previously played 38 ECHL games for the Colorado Eagles & Florida Everblades.

I believe all that action from last night completed the Cardiff lineup for 2022/23.

I had a quick look on their forum and line suggestions were:

Reid - Martin - Crandall
Cox - Coughler - Sanford
Waller - Penny - Brittain
Duggan - Davies - Brandt

Richie - Jardine
Thompson - Crawford
Batch - Lou

Bowns - Kozun

So can we match/beat that with our lineup?

Regards

That's a very very impressive Cardiff roster.

They seem to have the balance of skill, goals and size across the roster covered nicely as they have done for several years now

Balance has been a big issue for us-lacking greatly on the size (and "playing big") side of things

Could not agree more, it dwindled down to just desbiens and fitz to hold the fort and then once they had gone it’s been none existent and with Dowd being the go to man for physicality last season was an all time low for that side of the roster

Looks a strong side.

Interesting that Cardiff have no issues in announcing their full team pretty quickly, yet we hold back our signings which we have (I think) at least 4 more not yet announced that are signed up? Don’t see the advantage we supposedly hold by not announcing signings quickly.

Not hard to work out why we're bullied when Dowd is our enforcer!

I really don't recall us being bullied last season.

Until the last month of the season we were doing fine, but for whatever reason (injuries, fatigue, old age) we did fall away.

If we were a team that was easy to push around, we wouldn't have been where we were in February/March.
