Coventry have announced that Canadian forward Matthew Thompson is unable to commit to a return for 22/23 as he will not be recovered from his long-term knee injury in time for the season start.
The 28 year old played 15 times before a hit by Belfast’s Ben Lake saw him unable to play since. Lake was ejected, fined and suspended for 2 games.
It’s anticipated Thompson will look for an ECHL deal when he’s fit.

Coventry have announced 6”4” Canadian captain Justin Hamonic will not be returning for the 2nd year of his 2 year deal.
This is due to his partner securing a high quality job in North America.

The 27 year old spent last season in Coventry where he played 64 EIHL games scoring 41 points.
He’s previously iced 168 times in the ECHL with the Evansville Icemen & Reading Royals as well as 35 times in the AHL with the Binghamton Devils.
