Wonder if we'll get the usual Xmas present of another 2 points from Nottingham ?

If we play as we are at the moment, I’d say it might be us that is the gift that keeps on giving :Gob:

Need to win both the Christmas games against the Panthers if we realistically want an outside chance of staying in the title race.

We'll bounce back tonight, I've got faith in these guys, we just need a coupla wins to get our confidence back and we'll be just fine

I'll go Panthers 2-4 Steelers

You've got more faith than I have Mr Bont.

I can't see anything other than more of the same. Panthers win early faceoffs, put us on back foot and before we know it we're a goal or two behind.

We know if these players hit their form we're the best in the league, but for whatever reason we look a million miles away from the team we can be.

Something doesn't seem quite right at the moment, but I haven't a clue what it is (injury, fatigue, Petgrave issue, confidence).

Regards

Doom

Well, we survived the first without damage. At times that was what it was, surviving. After a shaky start and stupid too many men we began see tiny glimpses of the team we know they can be. Perhaps it’s just me but I really don’t like so much dumping and inevitably losing the puck. By contrast Panthers skate over our blue line in possession. Must be my ignorance, but it just looks awful.

I feel currently like Steelers have started to play ice hockey like England play football, why the passing back all the time? Its not working and hasn't worked all season especially on the power play, we didn't do that last year and look how that ended up.

Still getting out battled, esecially in our d zone. Our compete level is far too low. Not much quality offence, main threat was the fourth line followed by the third. Our big name players continue to disappoint. Our pass reception/control of passes is abysmal.

Lucky to come out of the period without conceding. Need to play far better to come out with a W.
