7pm Face Off

We need a strong response after the last game here. This is our only game of the weekend.

Fox needs them all to be ready to start fast and play strong for the full 60 minutes.

I have my doubts that this current group have this type of response in them at the moment.

4-2 Cardiff.

To me this is the big game / turning point of our season,,,,win this then i think we are back on track,,,,lose this then i think our league title campaign is over [mentality wise ]. So they now need to show up and show what we know they are capable of,,

The theme away from home recently has been to start very slow, be dominated by the opposition and then find ourselves a goal or two down.

We then click into gear and start playing, but whilst we might get away with this against the likes of Manchester, we won't in places like Belfast and Cardiff.

Tonight we need to be dialled in from the first puck drop, no easing ourselves into the game otherwise we'll be out of it before we start.

I hope we're much better with faceoffs tonight, because that is also becoming an issue. There's only really Simpson we can rely on. For all his good play, Whistle is rather poor at them and Watling isn't great either.

I think this is an element of Scott Allen's game we miss. He was a regular 55%+ on the faceoff who we could throw out into any situation.

Hopefully with a full week off they'll be ready to go tonight and play with a lot more speed and intensity.

Could really do with Dowd back for this one. He does a bit of everything in games like this.

Dowd’s not named on the gamesheet so I guess he’s still not fit.

Saucerman also pulled from the team sheet.

We're looking a bit light on numbers again, although Cardiff look like they have quite a few out as well.

Let's hope those playing are 100%.
