It’s midnight, and just had a text from Aer Lingus saying our 8:25 flight from Manchester to Belfast has been cancelled no reason given other than operational reasons.
The flight number of anyone else was scheduled to fly is EI3611

Hopefully we may see some hockey this weekend! (That isn’t a webcast)

I imagine the flight was destined to be full of Steelers fans.

Snap!

Rebooked on to 1140 flight SATURDAY!

Already was in Airport Hotel @0445 - now booked on 0810 flight to Dublin then coach to Belfast!

Hopefully flight home will be unaffected! We'd already been moved from 1140 flight today onto 0825.

I saw that cancellation in the airport and wondered if it would effect some Steelers. Absolutely awful new, hope you get sorted 👍

Nearly an hour spent on the phone to customer services at midnight - got put on a flight from Manchester to Heathrow and then Heathrow to Belfast city.
I arrive only a couple of hours after our scheduled arrival time which isn’t too bad - but the stress it cauohas left a very bad taste and certainly will not be using Arr Lingus in the future.

I've had nothing but issues with Aer Lingus and try to avoid them at all costs. Terrible airline.

They may as well be Mark. Surprised there's not an outside toilet on their planes! :D

That may be the ONLY logical explanation for the Chemtrails hoax spread by the tinfoil hat wearing conspiracy idiots. It's just Steeler fans using the outside loos on an Air Dingus flight to Belfast.

I was scheduled to be on that flight.
This is the third time the flight has been changed, Originally 15:30. Moved to 17:30 (no good for face off time).
Paid to move to 11am. This got moved again to 08:25 and then cancelled.
They re-booked me for tomorrow at 11:45. Not much use! Could've either spent the evening in Manchester or returned in the morning.
Return flight was similar - originally 10am Sunday, moved to 06:35 (there's no way I'm flying home at 06:35!) Paid to transfer to 2.35pm.
Looked at flying from Liverpool or to Dublin but was gonna be an extra £160 + cost of getting from Manchester to Liverpool. All the Dublin flights were sold out.
Ended up cancelling the whole lot.
To say I'm not impressed is a massive understatement.
Wasn't destined to be there in person.

I hope you’re able to claim everything back, not just flights but tickets for the games and accommodation.
Its totally inexcusable.
