Would expect this group to win this game,,,,, but could be a tough one as guildford match up to us well and they will go all out to get some pay back for cup final loss. Hopingf for a big celebration night on our part,,,,, we shall see

Will this be the day when we finally win the league again?

I hope Fox goes back to the Challenge Cup lines, but suspect he'll stick with the same as last night.

According to the Steelers website over 8,500 sold to date, so I'd expect close to a sell-out by 4pm.

I don't normally do Sunday games, but I didn't want to miss this one.

Regards

Doom

Hope this is a cracker of a game. I think Guildford will come with a different game plan than in the CC final. I expect them to bring their physical side to this one like Cardiff did.

As for us, any feelings of tiredness will disappear for this one as there’s a very good chance of winning a second most important trophy at home in front of 9,000+.

Have we ever won a league championship with over 9,000 in attendance?

4-2 Steelers.

Guildford do tend to play a flowing game like we do,,,,but for them to have any chance today they would have to alter their game style,, they would need to make it a bity, stop start type of game and i dont feel they can do that as good as the likes of cardiff but that is where the coaches come into it and put theiir plan A and B s into action.

For a while now Guildford have played a disruptive way against us, they cannot compete with flowing hockey so they go to break up plays and hope to get a line break here and there, look for them to hack and slash trying to draw relation penalties and collide with Greenfield at every opportunity. Legitimate but not pretty tactics, but if you want to be called league champions you have to find a way to win these games. Crazy to think that in 8 hours we could be double winners in 2024

A moments silence please in respect of all those Steeler hating social media hockey fans who are dreading what may happen in a few hours. Their worst nightmares are about to come true and they just know it will get rubbed in their faces every time they pop up on social media.

And if we don't, they have to go through it all again next week.
