There's nothing formally announced by the club, but everything does point to him now being a Steeler.
He's got some very big skates to fill and it's at a difficult time for our club, but it looks like he's played with a few of the players before so that should make any transition easier.
Looking at his numbers, which is all we have to go on, it looks like he's had some very good seasons and some rather indifferent seasons. I guess a lot of that is to do with how he has been used (ie. Defensive or attacking etc). It will be interesting to see how Fox uses him and who he pairs him with.
I'd also like to add how well young Mr Shudra has done filling in for Petgrave. It's only 2 games, but we only conceded 2 goals in those games and he was only on the ice for one of those goals. He's not lit up the scoreboard, but his versatility has made him a valuable acquisition.

Looks like he might just get announced tonight then. Maybe the club thinks there will be less speculation and comments this way

Why no official announcement from the club? Nothing on the official club website other than advertising the Belfast game.
Must be the quietest signing in Steelers history?

An obvious guess would because it's connected to the ongoing issues. They obviously decided saying nothing would be best, which is a minor miracle in itself.
