As I mentioned on the other thread, I'm delighted by this and think it upgrades our defence from last season.

My comparisons are always with Belfast because they set the standard and in defence I think we have the edge (on paper at least).

Firstly having watched his interview with Peter Spencer he will certainly have the most impressive beard in the league

Another player I'm looking forward to seeing play.

Another offensive defencemen though? Might be a bit of competition between him and Petgrave for who goes forward most.

Does look like an upgrade on the defence compared to last season though.

Do we have the ability to clear the crease though? Tansey appearing to be the only one that might.

If the rumours of Scott Allen and another premium top line Winger come true. I think we will of done enough to be up there, left in the hands of the hockey gods of course

Agree with this.

If it is true Allen will be back, providing we are able to sign another 1st line forward, I think we are set up to win and look better on paper than last season.

Finally! Joking aside, our D looks great and even taking off orange tinted specs, probably the best on paper in the league.

Really like the fact he mentions he's quite physical despite being smaller - maybe comparison to someone like Domish might be appropriate?

Also sounds like a good character guy, which can't be underestimated, especially with Jono retiring.

Looks decent and size matters less than attitude. We've had our share of 6ft4 D men that play more like 5ft4, give me a 5ft10 player who plays like he's 6ft10 any day.
