Freesports lost transmission with less than a minute to play.

Nice win which was closer than it should have been.

Great debut goal for Connolly.

We got the win but we will need to play much better in the next two. Concerned about the form of Bowns; maybe play Whistle on Saturday.

Also we took too many soft penalties, but we have 3 points after 1.

Don’t think Bowns has been at his best all season to be honest.

Great to see Connelly get a goal, great player hope we sign him up for next season.

Yeah from the Steelers v Devils games I've seen I would agree.
We had the old Connolly spinorama. He has replaced Ben for this!

I always think that the 1st game is about the team gelling, especially with so little preparation. We should be better for the run out and hopefully we will be better against Estonia. And better again when we face the Hungarians.

Will be interesting to see if playing 2 in 2 has an impact on those that are not used to the “elite league” type schedule.

I have always felt our first game was our worst, and yes it may be too little preparation. Results in the first game seem to be a loss or overtime loss, meaning we are off on the back foot. I may be wrong. If we improve like in the past we should get through. I have everything crossed.

Romanian goalie played very well. The GB Hungary result will be the decisive moment.
