The club announce that the new season tickets will from now on be all digital and will be delivered to your phone! no more plastic card!!

Unless you Pay £5 extra for a plastic card, it's called opt in and you need to pay that for each card.

I get the whole concept of the digital ticket, I really do, but I've always liked the idea of actually having a ticket to call my own and hang on to etc..

Genuine question, how do you keep old of multiple tickets? for instance for a family or for seperate children? In the past a family season ticket was always separate tickets still? each seat in the arena represents 1 ticket doesn't it?
is the club basically saying that children who often dont have phones , now dont need a ticket on entry or do you need seperate digital tickets on your phone.
would or do those without phones have no choice but to pay £5 for a plastic ticket... :wonder:
I know of at least 5 separate older fans who either dont have a phone or a smartphone and would definitely struggle with a digital ticket too.. :zip:

Giants had this last year. Pain in the rear end. Always having to download each match ticket onto a digital wallet, then having to remember to bring your phone with you each time you go. Not the first time I had to head home to grab my phone. Much better with the old season ticket in your wallet.

We've not got a season ticket this year but this would be really annoying for us. We did have 2 tickets but for games my partner couldn't make I'd bring someone else. If the ticket was on my partner's phone I couldn't do that.

Also what about parents and kids where they don't always arrive together? Family that used to sit near us for weekday games the dad would bring the kids and the mum arrive later but vice versa for Sunday games.

Why cant you get the digital ticket and print it out to scan at the door?

These digital tickets are not for your convenience, it's for their convenience.

Suppose you can brian, but what then happens if someones printer or phone not working etc, can see issues arising for some, cant beat having something physical to show like card ticket. As said its more convenient for club to go digital and any issues that arise the onus falls with us to sort out..suppose thats the way of the world now. Keep up or get left behind or pay extra for something thats is easier for oneself

Just received an email to say my season ticket is available.

You can have digital OR a physical card (which costs £5 extra). You can't have both, and your decision is final.

I'd liked to have seen the digital option before committing! For instance can I have it on two phones (and me and the mrs might not always arrive at the same time), and can they be transferred easily if I can't make it???

Might have to play safe and go old skool this year.

I wonder how many got their first taste of the Steelers thanks to a season ticket holder who couldn't make a game for whatever reason. Could this still happen with a digital ticket ?.
