Challenge Cup, semi, second leg.

Steelers are starting with a 4 goal advantage.

All ticket game, fiver each (plus whatever rip off fees are added).
Not an ST game.

Think we play hard 1st period and assess. Be nice to have Graham, Griffin & Shudra be able to ice regular shifts to rest key guys.

First £6.60 game we've been able to get our normal tickets for. Previously 120 hasn't been sold at all until late on if it's close to a sell out and we had other tickets by then.

Expecting the Clan to come out at a hundred miles an hour, they have to to have a chance so hopefully a good game. if we score first i expect the game to drift. would like to see the young uns getting some ice time.

Play sensible hockey and don't pick up any injuries that's got to be the message here.

Clan will have nothing to lose on the night so pick them off when they tire and the deal will be sealed.
Still not making any score predictions mind.

Should treat this as a dress rehearsal for Saturday, which means staying sharp, sensible, disciplined and clinical with chances. If Fox wants to experiment I’d hope he waits until the third, or after one or two insurance goals.

I hope the kids get some minutes too.

Clan will be buoyed by a long-overdue win and Fitzgerald is not somebody who has ever considered a first leg deficit of any margin to be insurmountable, so you can expect them to race out of the blocks and look for something inside the first minute.

If we get to the final I think I’d probably prefer to face Devils. I prefer being the very slight underdog and I think Panthers might have our number in a one-off game. Will see though; they’re already my two least-favoured options.

Agree with some previous posters that it would be good to get the young guys out to get some ice time, but only if we get a couple of early goals to bump up the aggregate score.

I see that Fitzy has laced up in a few recent matches, wonder if he will be doing that again tomorrow.

Game day.
They will obviously come out fighting they have nothing to lose. They will throw everything at us, and rightly so, so we will not have a easy night that's for sure. We need to be on our toes from first drop. And you can expect us defending the ramparts for a good fifty minutes of this game.
My hope is that we can stay out the box, soak up the pressure on the neutral zone/blue line and make them suffer on the counter, defend to the outside forecheck hard all night. We have certainly shown that we are well capable of countering fast, which will be in their minds,. A early goal or two may take their vocal fans and drums out of the scenario.
4 goal lead! Can we come through to the final. Yes.. I believe we can, but this is hockey, anything is possible. A couple of goals for them and our guys may start to tighten up, panic. Stay calm guys, stay out the box, smart, simple hockey and bring back the win.. Come on Steelers.

They have to force the issue being 4 goals down, play smart and take our chances that we will get more of with such a deficit from the first leg and we will be fine I think.

I'll go 3-1 Steelers.

There was an interview with Fox pop up in this morning talking about this game (https://youtu.be/zybAwoCYQKE)

Basically says he's going to think of the game as a 0-0 game and just play their usual style, put them under pressure and hope we can catch them out.
