Too hot or Too Cold ?

Apparently some fans have been complaining the rink is too cold so they made changes and got complaints it's too hot.

We are there for the game, it's played on ice , wear appropriate clothing. How would they have coped with Queens Rd , Whitley Bay etc etc ?.

Exactly surely the game comes first, maybe people should visit the Steelers store and get some warm merchandise ;) :D

In all seriousness I'm sure most would prefer the ice to be optimum temperature to allow for the best playing surface and wear an extra layer than be toasty and watch bobbly ice :hey:

Queens Rd used to require at least two Bombay Bad Boys per Scimitars game

It's 'ice' hockey.

A bit of a clue there.

For me it's nowhere near cold enough.

Even at that price it's better value than paying for a stream

The problem is in the seats directly below the giant A/C blowers.
I've been following the Steelers since 92 and have been to Durham ,Whitley Bay and all the rest. I have had lots lots of clothing on recently but was still cold. Being “ Ice “ , hockey is not a clue , if we go to see a water polo match can we expect to return wet through ?
The problem was acknowleged in the programme so it does exist.

The ambient temperature is not going to affect the playing surface though is it, it certainly can with ice hockey if it gets too warm. The temperature needs to be set to provide the best ice conditions to play on, spectators need to dress appropriately.
