OK so I thought about it and couldn't let it go.. Sorry but I couldn't and I think open debate is always good..

So here goes nothing..

It never ceases to amaze me that the very people that assert their views on how they dislike Steeltalk over on twitter and the like are always reading it with a view to slag it off at every opportunity they get!

But somehow can't see that peoples opinions are their own and not somehow a collective opinion of Steeltalk..

But here is the rub several of those that aim their vitriol at the forum are the ones that have been banned for breaking the rules in the first place, but just can not accept why they did so or that admin had the balls to ban them..
So I imagine its more of a stab at those of us that run it and they just cant accept it can exist without them

Their current argument is that.. Steeltalk members think that 'Hockey these days is no fun to watch' no direct member quote but an collective Steeltalk opinion.. Dean Woolley responding by saying... well here have a look...

So come on guys lets have a simple one question poll and maybe they can screenshot the results
not a poll that includes all the minutiae of our normal debate, after all that would not do when they quote the results would it, we can have that detailed debate on this thread.. but a simple poll of who is enjoying the current hockey and who isn't... Vote now and then a challenge to you all, screenshot the results each day and tweet them...

Absolute irony from Simms , that comment from a man who still wishes it was the 1970/80's along with everything that came along with it , you know , a hated tory government , overt racism, misogyny and homophobia, easy to see why he still likes that era. Leave him where he is folks , watching endless repeats of Love Thy Neighbour , the rest of the civilised world has moved on.

Well, my first thought on this was:-

This forum isn't anything like it was in the old days. After all, we are missing some people who were always keeping themselves at the forefront with abusive posts, lies, vitriol, smear tactics, and name calling. As well as constantly thinking that the rules did not apply to them and they could carry on as they were, regardless of numerous warnings. Fortunately these people were banned and are no longer active participants of this forum.

THAT'S WHY IT'S A MUCH BETTER PLACE TO BE.

I must want my head looking at... I spent hours this morning rounding corners of boxes and altering the different shades of Orange, Black, Grey and even shadows of white... :ugeek:

This forum has certainly moved on from when I first discovered it, and to be honest you get a good variety of opinion none of full of hate.

If people fall foul of the forum's rules then they're shown the door and rightly so.

As for the assumption by some that the forum is against the current team. Never heard so much rubbish to be honest, it's laughable to suggest we are.

Some people need to give their heads a wobble and take it out of the sand.

Those people are exactly why I don't use Twitter. What they think is a matter of supreme indifference to me.

Well funnily enough, they all say the same thing about us on here.... but yet they still seem obsessed to the point they have to quote it...

Some of them were apoplectic with joy when it went down for a day..

I haven't voted as I am somewhere in the middle.

Whilst the team is doing well it's not all rosy in the hockey garden.

Saturday for example was a mind numbingly bad game of hockey to watch, with few highlights, the main being the big hit by Kohlemainen which lifted the crowd.

Even the daughter said it was a boring game but was it so because Manchester for the whole played a solid game of shutting us down or did we have an off night. Perhaps a bit of both.

We won, we move on.

And didn't the building get energised when the hits went in during the period?
