Can we not give Greenfield the night off?
The important game is the night after.
4-2 Steelers.

And replace him with who.. ? Both Warburton and McLaughlin are both injured from what we've heard...

Is Dubeau back for the Panthers for this game.
He seems very easy to wind up, maybe he needs the same treatment B-R-I-A-N Stewart used to get.

My thoughts precisely.

Honestly, I’m numb to the cynical, cash grabbing scheduling at this point. Killed the rivalry almost 8 years ago with this approach, and it’s somehow softened further ever since.
It’ll be November before we gave them in meaningful action having played them, how many times?
For me, the worst part is that the club socials do absolutely everything possible to conceal cup games being cup games; and therefore basically dead rubber after two weeks of the season. Look at the marketing. You’d have to go to Flashscore or the EIHL twitter to discover whether it’s league action or not, or, you simply assume it’s a cup game because the Steelers accounts never specify it.
It’s shady, and tiresome, and hopefully a last ditch effort to avoid the wholesale call to ditch a format which costs the league credibility internationally and renders most of the first third of the season worthless.
It’ll sell well though, so I can’t see the Old Enemy matchups occurring less than ten times a season in the near future.

You can depend on Steeltalk though, just check Jay's first post

He's available to play.

Not much to play for in terms of progression etc. as that's been secured, but certainly would be nice to keep the winning streak up and get some home ice momentum going.
Unless we have any knocks I'd guess Mitchell sits out as Connolly sounds likely to continue as a defenceman and maybe Graham plays 4th line?
Ciampini-Allen-Neumann
Latal-Kristo-Dowd
McNally-Pitule-Raska
Graham-Whistle-Jono
Nevalainen-Petgrave
Piche-Jones
Connolly-Schulze
Greenfield
Emergency back-up??
I'll go for a 5-2 Steelers win!
