Steelers Rumours 22/23

It’s that time of year again and the first rumour has arrived.
Adrian Saxrud-Danielsen has offers from Norwegian Eliteserien sides Stjernen Hockey & Storhamar IL (his hometown team).
However he is also believed to be highly thought of by the Steelers and will face a choice of whether to return to Norway which he misses or extend in Sheffield where he enjoys the fan culture and local celebrity status.

I wouldn't be too fussed either way tbh.
For him I suppose it depends on if he wants another year of being stalked around ASDA by middle aged women begging him to sign their teddy bears?

This has made me proper laugh! I’ve witnessed this in the players lounge with a lady, old enough to be Vallerands mother, fawning all over him….I felt uncomfortable for him

I don't know how they put up with it tbh.
I'd be straight out the back door and halfway down Shepcote Lane before anyone realised I was missing.

I want players who WANT to be and play for the Steelers. Whilst I quite like ASD, I'm sure we could find alternatives if there's other offers on the table for him. If Sheffield isn't his first choice, then thank him for his services and let him go to wherever is his first choice.

and those on multi year contracts or Uni places returning...

well he is never going to be a top 6 player but he is at least as fit if not more so that half the current squad...
