Ticket prices have been agreed by the Elite League's ten member teams as follows:
Weekend Pass (valid for Saturday & Sunday): £110 + £5 arena fees (valid for all ticket types, with no concessions)
Please note that Steelers fans can only purchase their play off final tickets through the SSSC (Sheffield Steelers Supporters Club) and NOT through the Motorpoint Arena Box Office
The £5 arena fee covers both the booking fee and facilities fee. The SSSC will also charge £5 per ticket as a handling charge
I think I am best leaving this a day or two before I commit to an opinion.. I may end up breaking my own rules....
Well that settles it, I ain't going. As someone who usually qualifies for a concessionary ticket this would be a huge uplift in price. We'll done EIHL, this will be the first time I've missed a play-off weekend in the 28 years I've been a supporter.
For £110+ the quality of hockey on show for me no where near lives up to that price.
It’s a few years since I went to the playoffs and I did very much enjoy it when I went. Do they still open the other ice pad for like a playoff village? I quite enjoyed wandering around there.
Still, at that price it will be another year that I’ll not be attending.
This sums it up nicely for me over on twitter... I couldn't put it any better!

Remember back to the cancellation of the league and the first lock down, that fantastic spirit we all had buying goods from the online store and purchasing online raffle tickets to keep our clubs going through the uncertainty. Even though we ourselves had uncertain futures.
And this is how we are repaid. A price hike well above inflation, no concessions for children or family tickets as previous years. Well thank you..
Anyone paying out that amount needs to give their head a wobble..

Thing is many will already have hotels booked and paid for at increased prices due to the weekend being put back a week.
Absolutely shambles of a league but as previously pointed out , the Birmingham based controller will no doubt justify it somehow and then have a chuckle with his chums about it in a few weeks on the clique little podcast of theirs like they did re the webcast fiasco.
But hey, be grateful we have a league to watch hey?
Well that's OK for you to say Mr Smith and Mr (add club representative here), because YOU DON'T HAVE TO PAY DO YOU??!!
Does anyone know when the early bird season ticket applications are normally released? Am I right in thinking it’s usually April time? I’ll be saving my hard earned cash for a family season ticket instead. Can’t afford to do both at that price especially as the cost of living is going to rocket more than it is at the moment….Eihl doing a fabulous job of saying thank you to the fans that have kept UK hockey going over the years as well as through a pandemic .
