The initial obvious question is.. will the playoff final be on free to air as it has been previously.

I read it as it will only be on Premier Sport same with the Challenge Cup Final. We're away when the playoffs are on anyway but would have been nice to watch the Challenge Cup final.

A monthly subscription is around £14 a month so you could subscribe, watch the hockey & cancel all for less than our websast.

That's ok unless they may make it a "Pay to Watch " event, we will have to wait and see.

I can see it being a pay to watch. Be surprised if it’s showed for free.

I wonder if the League gets any financial incentive from Premier Sports?

As Premier Sports are sponsoring the playoff finals then ipso facto there is the financial incentive. I'm not sure they , as Freesports , pay for televised league games as Simmsy said some time ago that the league actually had to pay Sky to televise games in the past. It's not football !

I’ve got a 50 inch, 4K tv with Freeview and I have a Freesat box. What good is this to me?

We have a minority sport on free tv. Is pay tv going to increase viewing figures and the exposure of the sport to a wider public?

Bad move IMO.
