Squad player numbers

With 1-2 signings still to be announced/made i dont think ive every seen in my forty plus years so many players with a squad/shirt number of 50 and above. Looks a bit weird to this old timer!!

I'd not noticed it before, but yes there do seem to be a lot of higher numbers.
If Perreault has signed he does seem to wear the lower numbers.
Maybe the higher numbers are to reflect the age of the squad.
