This particular price hike is really going to pee a good section of the fan base...
Children under the age of 2 as at 31/08/2026 do require a season ticket (£80 charge) blocks 103,104,105,116,117,118,204 and 217 are charged at full child season ticket price.
So thats £328/£353 for babies in those blocks, but no seat included...

It is a massive hike in price and particularly the new car park price of £352!
My quandary, having been with the Steelers from year 1, is not only the cost of the season ticket and parking but these days the awful sound system control, or rather lack of control, as has been discussed previously.
Do I want to pay all that money and have to endure another season of that volume? I have until 30 April to decide!

I have a feeling this is going to significantly alter the amount of season ticket holders... If I can somehow justify this spend and then find a way to afford it... this maybe our swansong final year... the Straw that broke the camels back....

After 33 years thats me done. The Steelers have steadfastly rebuilt attendances during the Tony Smith era and, in my opinion, are about to chuck it away because of pure greed. During the present economic situation, a 24% increase is nuts.

Whilst price increases are never welcomed, we are far from the only team raising them. It does suggest that general running costs are increasing across the board.
The club has 2 options - swallow them and potentially reduce profit (or even only break even/run at loss) or to raise prices. What we don't know is if corporate sponsorship prices will increase - my guess is probably.
I don't have a ST, as I can't guarantee I can get to every game. If I could, I'd probably have one - it's still cheaper if you plan on going to every game.
However, I equally get that with current cost of living, this might be a step too far.
No easy answer on this, but it's impossible to say whether it's greed or just something unavoidable without being privvy to the accounts

While it is a massive increase and I can understand peoples concerns, I don't think Tony will have done such a hike purely to make a 'quick buck,' as some have said across other social media sites. I'm sure everything has been costed out by the club and I bet it's caused a lot of heart searching and head scratching for all concerned.
We don't have the insight to see what lands on the Steeler's office desk, re- the cost of hiring the Arena, housing for the players, equipment costs, insurance, players/staff wages, travel costs, each and every one of those will increase proportionally each season. They do of course have the option of course of not making such a big increase in ticket prices, but that would most likely mean cutting the budget for Aaron. Would as many fans want to come every week to see us battling for 8th place? That is Tony's and all the other owners dilemmas (just look at the prices in Cardiff), as a business owner myself, it is a reality for lots of us at this time.

And this is where they fall down, they don't even attempt to explain why they needed to do this, particularly the charge for 2yr olds who don't even get a an actual seat. Then again the organisations relationship with it's supporters has always been sit down, shut up and pay, unless of course you are one of the chosen ones. The lack of even an attempt to justify this massive price increase speaks volumes about their attitude to the supporters.
