Listening and watching the video suggests there’s some history between the two players as retribution was mentioned. If so, that’s not the way to deliver it.

Despite the D-bag move - do we think 6 games is a little excessive though? I think we’ve all seen a lot worse down the years - he didn’t exactly “go to town” on the guy.

I seem to remember a certain Storm player basically assaulting Davey Phillips a few seasons back - can’t remember the suspension there but that was a ridiculous vengeance attack at the time.

Nope, Hunt has previous and it’s a really cheap move so six games seems justified to me.

This wasn't a fight between two willing participants, that second sucker punch was to the head of a guy already down and not defending himself, imagine if he had knocked the guy unconscious or caused a more serious injury. This is one that could have ended up in court with Hunt looking at a jail term. For me six is lenient and I'd say the same if it was a Steelers player. This is not someone I'd want on my team or in my club.

Interesting to get peoples views - not seen in “full speed”. On the slow mo it looked almost “side hand” of a gloved hand so not a real intent to really hurt but send a message - dunno.

I too like the physical side of our game but when a player is unable to defend himself any attack on him is sickening and cowardly..
No one in my opinion should be made to fight. No one should deliberately attempt to injure a fellow professional who is not a willing participant .
Well deserved ban. Bet he doesn't pick on players bigger than him!
