Vallerand off to Germany-3 (Hannover). From German ice hockey blog/account on X.
Good move for him at this stage of his career, they pay imports well and expect them to put up points so are all getting top line minutes.
Been a quality player during his time here but I think it's definitely the right time to move on
Rumours 2025/26 Season

Yeah to be fair he proved a few people wrong, including me, when he returned and put up some very good numbers.
If the rumour is correct, I’m sure he goes with everyone’s blessing, he’s been a very good servant of the club.
I’m not sure another season here would be the right choice though. If true, I think he’s made the right decision.

Seitz I'd be happy to see how he performs in our team. He did very well with Cov last season.
Jasper looks well past his best and would worry me. Stats dropping away and the worst +/- on his team last season. 3rd line at best for me, but I'd be concerned it's another ageing player who might be after a final payday.

Apparently Vienna were pretty poor generally last year. He's definitely dropped off, otherwise he wouldn't be coming over here, but not sure whether last year is the best judge yet, a bit like Southorn. If he'd have come here last year I'd have been excited - 20 points in Czechia would suggest a very solid EIHL player, even at back end of his career.Doom wrote: ↑Sat Jun 21, 2025 2:55 pmSeitz I'd be happy to see how he performs in our team. Watched some of Coventry's highlights last night to have another look at Seitz. We've got a real good one there assuming rumour is correct. He can score, but his passing and vision are quality. He's pretty speedy and has definitely got a bit of grit/gets under people's skin.
Also saw a couple of highlights of Jasper last year - mainly goals/assists but he looks like he's got pace and got a nice shot. Difficult as only limited clips.
What I would say about Jasper is that he's always been pretty high up his teams scoring (usually top 5), but team scoring overall has not been high. Could suggest he's tended to end up on struggling teams so not having good support, and in particular poor transition limiting opportunities to score points. His +/- is poor last year, but again without seeing actual games, difficult to pinpoint why. Is it him, or could it be he was taking lots of D zone draws, and due to law of averages spent a lot of time in the D zone against opposition top lines? Did they concede a few shortys whilst he's on the PP unit?
I'm still wait and see on him, but I'm probably more positive on him now I've had a look in to some of his stats relative to teams he's played on
