Well third is not really mid table, but I do agree that finding younger players who have proved they can score in the elite league is a good strategy.
Brian, I thought you'd been around long enough to recall the days when 2nd place was seen as mid table.
:Smiled: I do remember a season with only 5 or 6 teams in the league , yes , third was certainly mid table then !

Belfast sign LW Elijiah Barriga, last season at Dundee he scored 69 points in 62 games, 30 goals and 39 assists in all comps…
Bringing in a high scorer from our league......a player they've seen and know works at this level......looks like good business.

Also strongly rumoured to have signed Tedesco, who was second top points scorer in our league last season.....that would be another very safe signing.

I've also seen a rumour that they're after Yushiroh Hirano, who looks another potential 25+ goal scorer.

I hope Fox has some serious talent lined up and I don't mean guys who were top of their game 10 years ago.

Regards

Doom
Completely agree about Mosey. Was said last year, we don't sign enough guys with big numbers in the G Column in their stat history. We need to find 2 or 3 of those guys.
With the Barriga confirmed and Tedesco rumoured Giants signing makes me wonder what happened to us being able to recruit high end performers from other eihl teams? We used to do that very success but not so much now. Is if because Fox doesn't like that strategy?
Or is it because players don’t want to sign with a mid table team?? Which for the last couple of seasons the Steelers have been
Or let’s get rid of the elephant in the room
Is it monetary?
These players don’t come cheap two top 10 league goal scorers and a potential top 10 followed by the rumoured secondary scoring players that are either coming back to them or rumoured to be signed. I can’t help think theres more than just the
Pull of CHL and uni courses to their recruiting prowess.

Well that is in conflict to what Information I have and I have no reason not to trust the person that told me, it was 100% mutual understanding based on a normal contract discussion, where both parties could not agree terms... :hey:

Huge re- signing for Giants, type of player Steelers desperately need.

Great signing by them, a player that can play up and down the lines could be a first line point a game player or a gritty workhorse third liner.
As proven over the last 4-5 seasons we don’t seem to be able to attract these kind of players
