Amazing start to the game and a good timeout call by Clan. I thought Steelers looked increasingly tired as the game progressed yet still managed to hang on. What a great effort from such a gruelling schedule. Absolutely brilliant

I was there and couldn’t work out the spearing call. I saw incident and it seemed an awkward collision, play carried on and Clan scored before it was protested (and penalty given).

Just watched the highlights and equally as perplexed. Can see glove and stick on the ice and can see we had possession between the incident and goal, with a linesman right next to it - whilst the actual incident wasn’t shown I can’t work out how a penalty can be awarded post-event without any video replay?

The incident isn’t in the highlights, but the fact the subsequent play resulted in a goal surely means that any further on ice action is voided and it’s a post-incident report to DOPS? If the official blew the whistle Clan wouldn’t have scored in that play.
