At the start of last season I was excited by the Brust signing. I was disappointed when he turned up unfit, and his attitude was all wrong. Apart from one hit behind the net, I can't recall any outstanding moments. I don't think he won us any games.Jayboy wrote: ↑Sat Jul 30, 2022 12:03 pmI would take Brust over Jackson whistle.. not a number 1 yet IMOsteeler pete wrote: ↑Sat Jul 30, 2022 9:27 amFacebook post by the Giants on Thursday says he’s staying with them.
I honestly don't think Brust brings anything to the table, and that we should be looking elsewhere.

Brust in my opinion was at times a fantastic goalie and on a few occasions (far to few I may Add) showed his pedigree. To clarify my position, I am not wanting to see barry brust back, Especially the one that turned up last season, but his game craft, positioning and style was much better than the Rok and that was clear to see. Unfortunately that Barry Brust was 4 years ago for the main part, but a fit and motivated Barry Brust would be a far better Goalie than Jackson Whistle...Ron 25 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 30, 2022 12:16 pmAt the start of last season I was excited by the Brust signing. Can I suggest you look up Craig Kowalski with Dan Green as bench warmer/door opener?House_of_Steel wrote: ↑Thu Jul 21, 2022 2:49 pmPanthers haven’t won anything with one tender! Unless you count that tinpot series
It worked for Cardiff and Belfast with Carruth, Korzun Besko, Whistle, trouble is we don’t have the clout to sign such quality over 2 slots

Kowalski played in the EIHL between seasons 2010 - 2015, was a top end N/M over those 5 years he was in our league.
Easily in the top 3 netminders I have ever seen play in the EIHL. That's the level we need if we want to be successful this season I think.BontSteeler wrote: ↑Tue Aug 02, 2022 10:07 amKowalski played in the EIHL between seasons 2010 - 2015, was a top end N/M over those 5 years he was in our league.
