Just a couple of points.
Who is responsible for the moral leadership if it is not Steelers management. Not sure whether the decision was to raise revenue or to provide fans with a stream to watch at somewhere near cost.
Clearly as I don’t understand the subtly used on guestbook could you please explain why my criticism wasn’t the brightest thing if not an unnecessary veiled threat

Wow, you are trusting. I dont believe that at all.SteelerBlade wrote: ↑Fri Nov 19, 2021 11:22 amSTEELERS STATEMENT:
All Sheffield Steelers fans will have the opportunity to watch the Steelers three Continental Cup games FREE if required this weekend.
The club has agreed two options for fans and they are as follows.
Option 1 – The stream for the 3 games will be provided FREE of charge with commentary from Jonathan Fearnley and Ron Shudra.
Option 2 – The stream will cost £30 for the 3 games with commentary from Jonathan Fearnley and Ron Shudra.
All profits from the stream after paying commentators and Visionmix will go to the Sheffield Childrens hospital Christmas appeal.
Club owner Tony Smith commented “I want to make it clear when the deal was done to take the stream and the price agreed with Aalborg Pirates this was a straight forward business agreement allowing our fans the opportunity to watch the Steelers play in Europe.
“It was only later yesterday we were made aware there would be a free stream, at no point in the clubs negotiations with Aalborg was a free to air stream mentioned.
“Any fans who have already bought the stream have the option of a full refund should they wish to take advantage of the free offer. An e-mail will be sent to those who have already bought the web cast advising how they can activate the refund if required.
“On behalf of the Steelers I would like to personally apologise to our fans for what has been a difficult 24 hours but I must stress this was a situation not of our making but one I hope now is brought to a satisfactory conclusion for all involved.”
I have to say I do genuinely believe Tony here.

It's good to see that the Steelers management have had a u turn about this disastrous episode. Im sorry but the last few days, and Tony's statement, don't add up and ring true. I'm glad about the outcome, but not on board with the explanation.
He never takes it 100% on the chin when the club cocks up, he tends to lay the blame elsewhere.
It's taken outrage and condemnation from fans (including people from here) on social media kicking up a fuss to help this happen. If this outrage hadn't happened the club would have done nothing at all and counted the money.

No one has suggested anyone else other than Steelers management are responsible for the moral leadership of the club.patsea wrote: ↑Fri Nov 19, 2021 1:58 pmJust a couple of points.

There was no cost involved until the Steelers decided to make it cost the fans. If you accept the owners statement that he wasn't aware of a free stream then fine.
There is no veiled threat , this is a private forum completely funded by donations from a couple of individuals, if you want to start attacking the administrators as per your previous post then your stay here will be short. Hence my comment about it not being the brightest decision. It's up to you.

Olimp Riga have one back on the PP, it’s now HK Gomel 2-1 Olimp Riga.
KHL veteran Mikelis Redlihs the man on the sheet.
Worth noting all 3 goals were on the PP so our discipline will need to be impeccable.
