Nottingham have signed one of the very biggest players in the sport, 6”8” defenceman Taylor Doherty.

https://www.eliteprospects.com/player/3 ... or-doherty

The Canadian joins from Cracovia Krakow of the Polish Hockey League.

He’s played 257 AHL games for the Worcester Sharks, Toronto Marlies & Providence Bruins.

He also has 203 ECHL appearances for the Rapid City Rush, Orlando Solar Bears, Atlanta Gladiators & Fort Wayne Comets.

His European career includes a year in the Czech Extraliga with Bílí Tygři Liberec.

A handful of EBEL games for Czech side Orli Znojmo.

And the 39 games he iced in Poland.

Although not a particularly physical player given his size, one would expect he shouldn’t have any issues clearing the net front.
