GAME THREAD: Steelers v Panthers: Saturday 21st March

Wonder if Fox went with @Doom to catch the same tram? He may as well have.
So over the last 3 games, we’ve managed 3 goals and conceded 12! We ain’t going far with those stats.
Nottingham were nothing special, but we were even worse. Utter garbage from us. Skated round like headless chickens. No obvious game plan. Fox looked clueless.
Fox out.

Better 3rd but wow… we obviously weren’t going to have 2 repeats of the first but that was some downturn.
After the too many men pp gift too. Stand out performance from Grande.
Note to Heard, Ritchie and Tansey - when someone cartwheels Juusola - do something.

The 1st probably highlighted the flaws in this team more than the 2nd or 3rd.
Top teams would have come out of that period with a 3 or 4 goal lead, but we couldn't hit a donkeys ass with a banjo.
2nd and 3rd Panthers sobered up and did.what well coached teams do.
I hate to say this, but I am swinging towards replacing Fox. His new recruits this season have fallen short and tactically we look predictable.
If we win the playoffs I might review, but I'm inclined to think we won't even make Nottingham.
Regards
Doom

Sadly Doom I think we may not reach the playoffs. If we do we’re likely to lose the first game.
To be fair we’ve been so inconsistent all season we’ve been kidding ourselves we could win anything.
I hope the Nottingham player who injured his head is going to be ok. I was worried no one seemed to care that he was clearly in trouble.

Yeah, note to the imbeciles in the Whitehouse, showing a replay of him crashing into the boards wasn't very tasteful.steeler pete wrote: ↑Sat Mar 21, 2026 10:37 pmSadly Doom I think we may not reach the playoffs. If we do we’re likely to lose the first game.

Pretty sure we can write Fox’s post-game interview.
‘Liked our 1st period and were unlucky not to be leading by more than one”
He’ll then talk about, “unlucky bounces” and some players not buying in and not playing for the full 60 minutes.
Copy and paste post game interview almost after every loss, which is now 3 home games in a row.

Sounds like Watling’s season is over. He took a puck in the face in practice yesterday, broke several bones and spent yesterday and this morning in hospital. Get well soon Patrick.
