This ‘big’ signing that is rumoured could well be Ciampini. I know Bob was alluding in the star to a replacement for Vally to me this would be the player. I wouldn’t Expect anything other than McNally and another C but I wouldn’t get my hopes up for this been the big one. Connelly will no doubt be occupying that first line spot.

I could be and hope I’m wrong!
Well we were chasing Hammond according to the rumour pages at the same time as Ciampini rumours were also out, so I think we're announcing 2 first liners (one being Ciampini) and then McNally, still got my fingers crossed but I see your point regarding Connolly....time will tell
Hope so thought Hammond was rumoured for Them down the road?
Like you say we will see

Yeah he is now, but at one stage it said there were 3 EIHL arena team offers for him to choose from, so I'd assume we were one of those.

I don't know why but I've got a feeling this will be an anti-climax.

I suspect the big signing will probably be Ciampini, who looks a decent player, but his numbers last season would be a concern.

I like Hammond and wouldn't be against him signing, although his days of 25+ goals in our league are probably behind him, but at least he plays the game with the right attitude.

McNally I'd be a little bit disappointed with if I'm honest, but with all the rumours flying around I suspect he'll be one of the three.

I'm hoping we've got a real top line centre lined up, that would make my day.....Not long before we find out.

Regards

I'm glad you are that way about Hammond too. I'm a bit 50/50 on him. My thoughts on McNally don't need re-saying. Ciampini CV looks decent so not averse to him at all. His last season stats are hopefully just a blip. Will be interesting to see the final confirmed complete forward roster though.

Still have a feeling it’ll be Ciampini Broda and McNally rumours on social media say the deal was off for Broda but he is the typical signing our club would make ageing with declining numbers (St Pierre)esque! I’d be more than happy with Hammond he’s still very productive but he’s rumoured to be going to Panthers! Like Doom says an Anti climax looming we shall see soon enough.

Listening to the Fox interview, it sounds like the lines will develop something like:

TBC/Neumann/Ciampini
Dowd/Connolly/TBC
TBC/Raska/Latal

I would guess the 4th line will have:
TBC/Whistle/Phillips

So we slot the remaining players into those lines:
Scott Allen (LW)
Mason Mitchell (LW)
Evan Mosey (RW?)
Brandon McNally (LW/RW)

My guess would be Allen joins the top line, Mitchell joins Dowd, Mosey with Raska and McNally fits in on the 4th line.

Just chatting with my mate on WhatsApp and we're both excited to see this team.

We have a bit more variety in the lines this season and we certainly have depth.

Key for me is which version of Neumann and Ciampini do we get.

If we get the high scoring Ciampini and the North American version of Neumann, then I think we have a genuine 1st line of Allen/Neumann/Ciampini capable of 75 goals or more.

If we get the version from last season it would be closer to a 3rd line.

Fox sounds confident, so I'll go with the better version for now.
