There could , I suppose , be good players in the EIHL at present who fancy a place on a well run , going for trophies team, a la Mitchell Heard. Although I understand you cant “ Poach “ , players they can leave of their own accord ? Seem to remember Colin Shields swapping us for a return to Belfast mid season.

Potentially Fife if there’s some further kickback from the players with the imminent signing….

From memory we've picked up some cracking mid-season signings in the past, including our best ever in the Messiah himself. I'm sure Fox and the team have been hard at work trying to find the 2025 version of Ken Priestlay.

Indeed - and my Dads all time hero! As much as I enjoyed Ken Murchison beating the snot out of Dale Lambert, I think we settled on the right guy lol

The Paul Jackson/Ron Handy combo that didn’t work out.. good times 😊

On his day, he’s one of the best players in the league. Is he match fit though?

Hope he hits the ground running…….or is it skating?

Game On

If it was the watling of the ist season with us then great, but wasnt the same second season around. So at least it is a body in the line up and he does know the league, and being in the position we find ourselves in and the case of who is available this time of year then its one of those ok signings,,,,

Sensible choice if he's kept himself fit, knows all the systems.

Injuries did him in a bit last year. He'll need a few games to get the sharpness back but if he's kept himself fit (likely), it might have done him a lot of good to have the time off.

Knows the systems, natural skills for days, and known personality in the dressing room.

I'm quite happy with this

I'm happy with this news too, wasn't it Watling who played with his stick taped to his arm because of an injury?
