I can understand us as fans having a preference to win it at home but I’m sure that won’t be entering the player’s minds at all - I imagine they will be fully focused to get it won at the first opportunity!

I will be following on Twitter, we have never won a game in Cardiff when I have watched the stream.

The more I think about the game, the more I'd like to see us win the League in front of our own fans, which means a loss. So I'd get the stream Shaun

Put Morrone in net as well @Jayboy :D
Why not go the whole hog and put Laing in net 🙂?

Seriously, I'm watching the stream but don't mind if we lose, if it means winning it on Sunday at home. Although we need the Panthers and Flames to co-operate in that scenario...

Now that is a good idea :D .

In all seriousness though, when we banish Greenfield to a well earned break in the Maldives (which I doubt he'll do as I think he'll want to be around the team even if he's not playing for a week or so) It would be good to see Laing get some game time perhaps shared with Morrone when the game's no longer matter.

There's no substitute from proper game time for a goalie IMO.

I was thinking we could end up with the bizarre situation on Sunday where 9,000 supporters are waiting a couple of hours for the result from Cardiff to find out if we've won the league.

However, I've just noticed that Cardiff faceoff the same time as us on Sunday. I'm sure Cardiff's normal faceoff time is later, so I wonder if it has been brought forward so that it matches our faceoff time.

Regards

If we dont win on Wednesday we have the opportunity to win at home on Sunday if we beat Nottingham AND Guildford.
If we only win one of those games we have a second opportunity to win at home the following Saturday against Cardiff.
Its going to take a Cardiff miracle for us to lose this title and they showed last weekend thats very unlikely.
We've won it already, its just a question of at which game it happens.

Away to Cardiff
At Home to Guildford
At Home to Cardiff.

In that scenario the lads may be celebrating long enough into Thursday AM on the bus back, such that the panthers may have a chance of beating them on Saturday!

This date is a good one in Steelers history - in 2011 the Ben Simon team clinched the league against Braehead at home 🙂

The EIHL website notes:

'The Elite League trophy will be at the Vindico Arena in Cardiff this Wednesday evening, but whether it comes out of its flight case or not will be decided on the ice.'

I'd prefer the presentation to be on home ice, but this suggests it will take place in Cardiff if we win in regulation.

Also clinched the 2016 on this day too.

Just looking on social media and wether it be our digs at us for dropping out of Europe this season or “best fans in Europe” just seeing the absolute urine boiling rage from fanbases just makes me want us to win it tonight even more. Let’s just make Sunday an all day party.
