Tin foil hat time, but maybe this opens the option for Jackson Whistle to come back to Sheffield? Would be a great signing as definitely allows NM duties to be shared with Greenfield, and then gives more freedom for 5 import D and doesn't require an additional import NM.

No inside knowledge at all, just a hunch
Confirmed by Bob in the star that were going with Graham and a Brit backup goalie could be Whistle
It'll be Warburton imo.....

Personally I'm gutted to see Davy leave, came in for some abuse that he didn't deserve in his time in Orange.

I wish him all the best in Belfast & thank you for the 8 years in Orange Davy.

No way is Jackson going to play second fiddle to Greenfield IMO...

Mabe, maybe not, but thats a better option than a 3rd or 4th place Steelers team?

Steelers will certainly be in the hunt for trophies. Yes Belfast won everything last year but history shows that is rarely repeated (nobody completed back to back grand slams from memory). JW hardly had a start once Besko came back, so not exactly a vote of confidence from his coach.

His brother is already signed up here and was very clear we will need someone to provide regular starts to allow Greenfield some rest. JW fits well with this, and is a Brit. If we haven't made an enquiry I'd be annoyed. It might not happen, but and was only a hunch, but given Conway leaving, and Norris going to Belfast full time, it would add some context to Belfast wanting Davey

Best goalie in the league imo, one we should have offered a contract to when he played for the Caps. To this day I still recall I spent the entire game watching him for Edinburgh and keeping them from conceding a cricket score that’s Quality, You can afford a couple of lapse D men in your team with him between the pipes.

That been said I’m more than happy with Greenfield very good Nettie but… Besko for me is another level again

Besko is certainly a very good goalie, but I’m still also very pleased that we’ve re-signed Greenfield. He knows what to expect now, so I think there’s a very good chance he’ll be even better for the new season. We could do with getting a decent back up to give him the odd night off.

Owen stays in Fife

J Hazeldine stays in Manchester

J Hopkins & A Hazeldine from Panthers to Blaze

Forbes leaves Blaze

Seems to be a lot of Brit movement
