was hoping for a turn of fortune this w/end but no, things are what they are and thats a bang average team this year, time for a clearout from from top to bottom and hopefully new coach/players to look forward to, even if not successful i dont mind as long as im seeing a entertaining product on the ice not this flat/boring sparkless style of hockey, Foxy done well and gave us what was wanted but thats now all in the past. As a fan i want to see whats out there, in this game coaches and players come and go,,,,,,, not a game for loyalties but for results.

Well….we won the faceoffs. We held our own for the first 20 after that it was one way traffic. There were many things to be worried about. One however leapt off the screen for me. During the third period mid break there was a shot of the players on the ice in a group with Harper giving them advice. The coaches were not in the picture. I don’t see any silverware this season.

Thought Harper looked better tonight 1st period, but then quickly faded. For me, I think he sits the next game and Watling comes in.Bryan wrote: ↑Fri Jan 16, 2026 9:16 pmWell….we won the faceoffs. I missed why Dowd was missing?
I’m not too hot on the import numbers rules - but taking the team tonight - I think we have to start sitting Kelly and putting Tansey back on D. Having Kelly effectively weakens D and O by putting players out of their natural positions.
Plus with Ritchie now - we have that big body up front - making the major plus’ of Tansey as a forward redundant.
For me, when Dowd is fit - sit Kelly, drop Tansey to D and sit Harper for Watling. (Armchair coach or what lol…)

I dont like to just blame the coach as its the players on the ice not the coach but something has gone wrong this season (so far) he doesn't seem to have a plan B and the players are just not a team unfortunately, d-men that dont defend and forwards that dont score. Richie not outstanding tonight either

Kelly’s a Brit and I don’t think he’s why our D is weak. Our forwards are slow to backcheck and other D aren’t strong around our net. Put Tansey back on D and drop Dougherty for me.
Not that it will make us a trophy winning team.
