Huttula wasn't on my keep list, so I wish him all the best.

Pretty sure we can upgrade on him for the next season.

Looking at the EIHL page, Belfast have signed 17, Cardiff 16 and Steelers 15. All the other teams are below that number, we announced quite a few early on, so I’m sure there’s nothing to worry about, we’ll have a full line up come September.

Huttula departs and signs for Katowice - CONFIRMED

Must admit I was a little bit down at this being confirmed, I can see where people are coming from on the 50/50 view on him.

I wonder if he was stretched last year having to play a bit more offensive, which didn’t suit him at times.

We’ll need to replace his physicality, I think he really stepped up to be counted last year. He surprised me for sure with just how capable he was in a dust up.

I know what you mean, I think we were a bit spoiled with what felt like a lot of signings in a crazy short spell right at the start of the off-season maybe?

In terms of places to fill, would this be about right:-

G - done?
D - 2 potentially 3 spots to fill depending on reliance in Steele?
LW - 3 spots
C - 2 spots
RW - done?

Yes, looking down the list I see what you mean. That had sort of crept up on me - 3F, 1D, 1G being new guys. I’m classing Whistle as a returnee (belated lol).

I would have thought the remaining spots would have to be new guys though, so that would be a further 5 or so new faces.

That being said - I still wonder re Heard…
