Said a few weeks ago that Panthers recruitment was impressing me & that they will be dark horses, I can see them (as it stands) finishing runners up, as I think Cardiff will win the league title this year

If the 4 players that are rumoured to be coming actually do, our roster worries me.

I've done a very rough and ready prediction of all the forward lines and I'm currently at:
Sheffield 215
Belfast 210
Cardiff 205
Nottingham 205
This assumes 10 goals for Brits still to be signed and 20 for imports.
If Conway re-signs for Belfast that would push them up to 230.
If our import forwards are as rumoured, our figure would drop by about 10 leaving us at 205.
On this basis it all looks very close, which you'd expect if there is a wage limit and all 4 teams are at that limit.

Nottingham have added gritty 5”9” Winger Garet Hunt.
Nobody in ECHL history has more penalty minutes so Nottingham PK will be getting plenty of action this season.
The 34 year old has played 779 ECHL games for the Stockton Thunder, Alaska Aces, Jacksonville IceMen & Wheeling Nailers being being assessed 2,811 PIMs.
Although undersized, Hunt is a regular fighter.
He is regularly suspended by whatever country’s DOPS, 9 games in Romania for attacking an opponent and then throwing a bin in the ice after being ejected.

I see it as an opportunity, we can easily get Nottingham off their game and draw them into easy penalties. Gagnon & Hunt have no self control between them. He isn't going to be able to intimidate us sat in the stands.
Remember our league doesn't like any physical contact. Sadly players like this are a waste of a roster spot, because they spend half of the season suspended.
