More entertaining 2nd period. 1-1 is probably about fair. Think Belfast will tire in the 3rd.

3rd period was excellent and was really entertaining to see Keefe lose it. You could see he’d told his players to try and take lumps out of us the next shift. Big credit to Mitchell jumping in to protect Raska.

Think we deserved the win. Sets up nicely for tomorrow.

Almost 6,200 in attendance , I did expect more if I’m honest, but a decent atmosphere especially in the 3rd period.

Well done Steelers.

I thought that was an excellent game of hockey between two very well matched teams.

Belfast are well coached and constantly tried to put us on the back foot, but I thought we countered it well.

I really can't see the title going anywhere else other than Belfast or Sheffield, but you have to love what Guildford are doing.

A long way to go and we had the edge last season, but for some reason I have more confidence in this seasons team. It's probably down to Greenfield and the Petgrave/Nevalainen partnership.

Win tomorrow and we're in a very good place.

Regards

Doom

Honestly if you dont like that hockey or consider that we didn't put effort in or indeed played well, your not on the same page as me..

From the first shift you could see that Belfast were a good bit better than any team we have seen at the arena this season and by a decent margin to...
Their forecheck is exactly how I wish we could play every game their backcheck is not far behind, they did not let anything just roll or come to them they worked their backside off every single man every single shift... and went into every 50/50 on the boards in both zones.

and we matched them stride for stride and if it hadn't been for a stella defence form the giants and one or two baffling calls from the on ice officials then we could probably have cleared them by 2 goals... more of the same tomorrow please, including the guys not taking any nonsense from the giants players.. they will come even harder tomorrow if thats even possible!

@Doom is spot on for me, finish above Belfast and you're going to win silverware this season... :wonder:

Scott Allen out for tomorrow’s game. Conn’s could be a great nuisance :D
