Nottingham re-sign highly experienced veteran, and former Steeler, Mark Matheson.

The 37yr old, 6”2”, two-way defenceman os highly experienced including 3 years of EIHL for us & Nottingham. He scored 148 points from D in 180 EIHL appearences. He served in player-assistant coach roles at both clubs.

He has experience in the AHL (418) games with the Milwaukee Admirals & Chicago Wolves.

He’s also played at some big European sides such as Vienna Capitals in the EBEL & Linköping HC in the SHL. That along with Spells in Norway & France.

His personal achievements include:

- Norwegian title with Stavanger Oilers
- Continental Cup Champion
- Continental Cup Best Defenceman
- French League & Cup Champion with Rouen
- EIHL 1st & 2nd All-Star Team.

Like Ferrara has been confirmed back in Coventry for 21/22.

The 27 year old led the league in goals before it was curtailed in 19/20.

He’s iced 349 EIHL games for Cardiff, Sheffield & Coventry as well as EPIHL hockey with Peterborough of whom he is a product of their academy.

Prior to the Elite Series in the 20/21 season he iced in the French Ligue Magnus for Boxers de Bordeaux and the Polish Hockey League for Cracovia Krakow.

He made three appearances at the 2021 IIHF World Championships in Latvia.

Coventry Elite Series defenceman Max Krogdahl has left the club to sign in the Swedish Allsvenskan with Västerviks IK.

Nottingham announce the return of Netminder Kevin Carr.

Carr, who was instrumental in the Panthers strong showing in 19/20, joins from the Utah Grizzlies of the ECHL where he posted an 87.5% SV% as well as backing up the AHL’s Colorado Eagles.

He’s previously iced in the ECHL for Tulsa Oilers & Alaska Aces.

Aaron Fox also recruited him for Medveščak Zagreb of the old EBEL in 17/18.

Stephen Dixon is back in Cardiff for a 3rd season.

The vastly experienced energy Centre has iced 129 EIHL games for Cardiff, he did not ice in 20/21.

The now 35 year old has iced in the AHL for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins & Portland Pirates.

In the Swedish SHL for Brynäs IF & Luleå HF.

In the KHL for Russian sides Amur Khabarovsk, Lokomotiv Yaroslavl & Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk.

In Finnish Liiga for Porin Ässät & Tappara Tampere.

And in the German DEL for Grizzlys Wolfsburg.

Dundee announce the return of Scottish forward Craig Garrigan.

Garrigan, an Elite Series winner with Nottingham, iced 13 games in the competition without registering a point.

The 23 year old has iced 137 EIHL games overall.

He is a product of the Dundee academy and a former GB U20 youth international.

GB defenceman David Clements will play in Coventry for a 7th season.

The 26yr old has improved and matured vastly in recent years to become a solid and dependable Brit D.

The Coventry native has iced 294 EIHL Games for the club after graduating through the Coventry academy.

He spent 5 years in North America before also playing a handful of games for EPIHL side Milton Keynes Lightning.

He iced all 7 of GB’s World Championship games and was also a youth international at 18s & 20s.

Dundee announce the return of local defenceman Kris Inglis.

The 22 year old is a product of the Dundee system.

The D man stands 6”1” and has played 187 EIHL games for Dundee but didn’t ice anywhere in the 19/20 season.

Nottingham have signed experienced 6”3” 33yr old forward Jeremy Welsh on a two-year university deal with Loughborough University.

The 209lb Canadian has played 27 times in the NHL for the Carolina Hurricanes, Vancouver Canucks and St. Louis Blues.

He has 277 AHL appearances for the Charlotte Checkers, Utica Comets & Chicago Wolves.

In Europe he’s played 162 times in the German DEL for Fischtown Pinguins, Düsseldorfer EG, Grizzlys Wolfsburg & Krefeld Pinguine.

He had a short 4 game spell with Czech Extraliga side HC Dynamo Pardubice.

Most recently he iced the 20/21 season in the Polish Hockey League with Cracovia Krakow.
