Current rumours not yet confirmed either way:
Belfast - Nicholas Guay
Fife - Ian Scheid
Guildford - Marcus Tesink
Nottingham - Nick Ritchie (although looks less likely now than once did)
Sheffield - Stephen Harper and Curtis Warburton
Also not yet confirmed is Zach Sullivan, although expect Manchester to retain him
There's still some other spots open on teams but no rumours I know of

Glasgow - rumour has it that Martenet will no longer be joining - sounds like he's gone the Ben Betker route and is going to be an official back in NA next year
That would mean Clan are looking for another import D after Keeper also no longer joining due to retirement.

Wonder where he'll head then, I can't see him heading to Sheffield unless we're cutting someone as we're already 1 import over the limitsmbmetal wrote: ↑Tue Dec 09, 2025 12:35 pmQuite a rumour if true.

Sounds daft what I'm about to say but what about Fife?

It's Fife by all accounts.
Whilst it will undoubtedly pique some interest, it's not a signing I would make given his history (domestic violence). He's also played 9 games in 2 and a half years, most recently 5 games in the AHL, posting 1 assist and a -7. He might hit a ppg, but it's a risk, despite the obviously impressive NHL CV.
He's also going to struggle with EIHL refs!

That would certainly be a bums on seats signing for Fife if it's true.
His stats from a few years ago are very impressive. The lack of game time over the last 3 years would be a worry though, but I guess it depends how fit he's kept himself.
He's not what we need, so I hope it is up in Fife where he's signed.

After watching a few youtube videos, Lucic reminds me of a Scott Allison type player. Can score goals, but can fight with the best of them and brings an old school heavy hitting game.
I love that type of player which has all but gone in the modern game. If (almost) match fit, I'd take him in a heartbeat, but I do understand why others wouldn't.
The biggest advantage I see of that type of player is they bring the 'X' factor which can really turn a game in your favour if used correctly. Very much missing from a Fox style team for me.
I'll certainly be putting Fife on my watch list though if Lucic does sign, that is for sure

Lucic in prime was a true top 6 NHL power forward, but he's not been at that level for a good 8+ years, and 2 years of no play. He'll be wasted in terms of fighting and he'd have to ensure he adapted his hitting to EIHL accepted standards. He's 37, plus the personal baggage - just not worth it.
Question to ask is why isn't he getting snapped up by KHL/DEL/Czechia/Slovakia - my guess is he's well off pace now, and Fife is an option to play with his mate (Hunt).
