I mean, he was crying. It's hard for him but he said it's something he must do. I wish it wasn't so myself. Like Smith said, we all thought he'd be here forever...

I honestly thought we'd at least get 20 for 20 at Steelers but evidently it wasn't to be. I certainly could see a role with the club linked to his new role outside of hockey being generated to keep him and the whole family in touch with the steelers. He's certainly been here through the many highs and dark lows but has always been a shining star throughout his career.

Will be very different seeing someone else with the C and not having him announced on a match night

I'm sure he has said that he needs to focus on his career outside of Hockey now, at 40 years old starting a new career will be a tough one so wouldn't need the distraction of working 2 jobs. Something along those lines anyway.
