I am going to be different from those above, as its my first game of the season, and many of us are the same, I would very much like to see both our netminders split the game on saturday night, so I can see both play with the start on sunday going to the one who need more game time...

Well it's looking like Greenfield might be no. 1. I was there Sunday and he was brilliant. He made it look as if it was easy and was extremely relaxed. He also did well on the Saturday from what I've heard, especially in the shootouts.Jayboy wrote: ↑Fri Sep 02, 2022 9:27 amI am going to be different from those above, as its my first game of the season, and many of us are the same, I would very much like to see both our netminders split the game on saturday night, so I can see both play with the start on sunday going to the one who need more game time...![]()
But obviously many people prefer to see how they play first hand before deciding, it's really hard to work off the word of others.
(P.S. I'm there too Saturday, LET'S GO STEELERS!!)

My first game in attendance Saturday too, looks like it's pretty busy again - excited to see the new side and I would expect this weekend to be more like the lines etc. that we will be running on opening night.
It's far too early to say that I think. Neither goalie has played a competitive game. It might be the case that there is no obvious #1. Form will change throughout the season as well.Spoony wrote: ↑Fri Sep 02, 2022 11:53 amWell it's looking like Greenfield might be no. 1. I was there Sunday and he was brilliant. I agree, even more reason to split the netminder at home, a home game is a completely different scenario than an away game, we play Cardiff at home first game of season and we need the hot goalie in the nets..kgw wrote:It's far too early to say that I think. Hope to see more chemistry through the forward lines along with decent 5on5 offence, less penalties and some decent d zone play. Oh and hopefully not conceding on first shift!!

The lines, the best I could make out, seeing how Fox is still chopping them a bit..

That was awful.
I didn't see one line put Blaze on the back foot tonight, it looked like a game between two similar quality teams.
The only positive I got out of tonight was Greenfield, he really does look like the real deal.
Still early doors, but Belfast look a mile ahead of us all.
