The Steelers podcast is certainly worth a listen.

Simms, Spencer and Fearnley run through our entire roster with their thoughts on the various players.

Just listened to that.
I feel much more confident about this years squad now,.
You get the signings announced spread out over a few months and you forget each players key points.
This summary with all of the team getting a mention seems to make things fit.
Interesting that it was McNally chasing Fox not the other way around.

I also agree with the final comments on the two pre-season games against the Panthers.
If we lost both of those two, the world would cave in on here.

It would be annoying but not the end of the world, Nottingham have frequently appeared like a league winning team , then along comes Christmas.

Just been looking on elite prospects at team averages…

We’re still the oldest team in the league ,

2nd Heaviest behind Cardiff,

2nd tallest behind Fife,

So we’ve deffo added some size this year 💪🏻

If it were Pete Spencer on his own or with someone else I'd give it a listen but I can't bear the other two.
Haha. To be fair it was a decent listen/watch. Although whilst I like the positivity you’d think listening to Simms & Fearnley we’d signed a team that will win the Stanley cup :D

That's unfortunately par for the course when the estate agent is involved.
Hockey fan since 1980, Steeler since day one.

Wonder if they'll feel the same after this weekend? 🤔

Well my interpretation of the Cardiff podcast was as though we had actually won that game. We were just unlucky and out shot our opponents so have nothing to worry about.

The warning signs are there…..Simms and friends choose to ignore them.

I think one of the most telling quotes from the post Cardiff game podcast, was by Jonathon Fearnley when he said " I saw 3 of those chances 5 on 5 go in"

This was in response to Simms/Carters comments on the number of 5 on 5 shots given up.

I know it's only the start of the season, but Pitule doesn't have long to show what he has anyway. As things stand I don't think we'll see him when Mitchell shows up. Though something could change my mind, you never know

You never know Curtis or Jordan might get injured riding their tandem! Then they would need somebody to open the gate.. E:p
