This situation could potentially cause an issue in the dressing room, but I have every confidence in Robert Dowd to make sure that won't happen.
I think, on the contrary, this may have a positive effect. If the players are aware of his misdemeanour, they will see that swift action has been taken, and it may serve as a wake-up call to others who are not performing at their best or are simply coasting towards retirement.
To me, this says we are serious, and there should be no doubt that we will not condone or allow bad behaviour or poor performance

Rumours are not particularly helpful in issues like this. But there is one gathering pace on social media, I won't repeat it on here, because as far as I can tell so far it has no basis in truth that can be justified or claim an accurate source as proof..

Game On

Hopefully a positive situation in which foxy may fetch in a gem of a player and the whole feel and dynamics of the squad change in a very positive way. Hopefully that quality player who you feel can alter the game whenever he is on the ice which we are lacking at the moment,,,

I wonder if this could be the incident/investigation that LeFebvre alluded too at the end of last week's game.
If he was referring to a playing incident fair enough, but this seems something more serious and no DOPS suggests it isn’t a game play incident, so it shouldn’t therefore have been referred to in the game review IMO.

Whatever it is it’s done and we can hopefully move for a good replacement. The club used the same approach with Deluca so I don’t expect they’ll give much more.

You can guarantee if it is more serious then that apology for a local rag will jump at the chance to write another bad news story, probably dig out Fairytale from retirement.

It's quite difficult for the club I guess. By them saying the minimum, that is naturally going to create more rumours, which no doubt, most will be incorrect. If the club's statement can't be expanded, whether that's legally or otherwise, the rumour mill will continue for some time unfortunately.

I don't partake in the delights of social media (other than here), so I've only heard rumours via other's, who do enjoy that pastime. The two I have heard, I hope neither are true.

A gentle reminder to users that IF there turns out to be something in this matter that involves legal proceedings then be very careful what you say on any social media outlets. I have heard the rumours but until and unless there is an official announcement I am not going to repeat them on here.

From trusted sources and highly trusted personal information, Mark and I now pretty much certain what Cliff Pu has been accused of and arrested for...
Its absolutely deplorable by the way and the club will have 100% backing from all, for their reaction and subsequent action...

If you know then please keep it to yourself and council others to do the same, this is not a 'I know something you dont know' moment has its been pretty much busted out wide online already. Just keep in mind that the forum is not the place to announce it..

Re the shirt situation: I really cant see the Steelers.org having any choice but to refund shirt sales of Pu merchandise and even offer some form of incentive to exchange or discount other Merchandise Pu related gear, especially recent Christmas purchases, Nobody is going to want to see his name on anyone's back in the arena after the truth is widely known... :zip:

For me, the club (once ready) need to officially expand their statement on Pu's release before someone like Fairytale writes a random article in the local rag. Better coming from the club than the local media IMO.
