Was a good, close game, Owen played a blinder and we didnt put away our chances. Ropey calls by ref in first period. But that's not the cause of our loss.
We struggled a bit with their physicality in the first period. Had to weather a storm for long parts of the second period, but having done so had a great period of possession and domination ourselves where we should have scored another goal or two.
Again started the last period in great form without scoring and they managed to sneak a goal. That seemed to take the wind out of our sails.
Eberle missing for second and third didn't help. Others still dont look fit.
I actually thought we looked a true Steelers team. Just missing that extra physicality. All the other ingredients are there.

Through a very sticky signal here on the Canaries, I though we played well. A couple of defensive lapses costs us. That odd man in the slot is a weakness for us.
Owen must have got their MoM as he was by far their best player for me.
The foundations are there for the future by the looks of things. A few tweaks here and there and I think we’re on to something.
Love our Czech D Men. I’d be getting them both signed of for next season now. It’s a no brainier for me.

Owen definitely kept them in it. We played well for the most part I think, just seemed to really deflate the boys once Giants got their 3rd, but up to that point we seemed to have the better of the chances.

Poor mental mistake to let Belfast in 9 seconds after we opened it up set the tone for the rest of the game. Good to see Hrabal get another, very classy defenceman. Ultimately we can't keep finding ourselves behind and hoping for Glasgow-esque comebacks.
We desperately need to get healthy, looks like we lost Eberle who is another massive loss. Luckily Vallerand & O'Connor were fit to ice, albeit not getting into it physically for obvious reasons.
Need a response Sunday.
