From the initial game sheet it appears the Ellerby & Todd pairing was -4.

Too many long range risky passes easily get intercepted and lead to a play where we are short at the back…led to a couple of goals…needs rethinking

I'm so surprised there haven't been more results like this as we haven't been playing great hockey for a while.
Hopefully that will give us a metaphorical kick up the arse. We rely so much on our speed game but have been barely ratching that up for 5-10 minutes per game.
Didn't catch the game, was catching up on some Olympic hockey. Great performance by Slovakia.

Yes, probably a good wake-up call. At the start of the season folk were saying that any team could beat any other. Then we got the disruption with Omicron but, now that it is (hopefully) abating we're getting back to that situation. Look at Fife's recent improvement, Dundee beating Devils last night. Heck, even Nottingham have started winning. Just need Belfast to similarly falter.

I’ve been disappointed with Ellerby to be honest. Whilst he plays a fairly solid game, I’m afraid for me he doesn’t live up to the big CV he has. I can’t see me remembering his name in a few years time. Adam Smith anyone?
