I saw the high stick different.
Matter of opinion I guess.

The Tansey incident was the very definition of high stick.. its actually wrote in the rules that a player is responsible for his own stick, however accidentally it may have been.. Tansey was clearly bleeding from his mouth I believe and is not the type of player to elaborate an injury to gain a penalty..

It was a frustrating game. I agree Keefe has our number and we were clueless as to how to break the deadlock.
Our best forward Balmas has been reduced to taking faceoffs. I’d like to bet his points tally has fallen off over the last few weeks as he’s doing a job the others couldn’t manage.

It was a high stick all day long for me and there was a slash on Juusola was it? on his one on one that was missed at the end of the 2nd period as well.
Do I think we would have scored or those penalties change the game?…….
Nope.

I couldn’t get to the game so can only rely on comments here and the stats. Strangely, they tell a rather different story. We had more shots, more shots on goal and even won more faceoffs. The tracking shows us mostly ahead and even the game win probability is higher. So what went wrong? Presumably our forwards were failing to take chances and their NM was having a blinder. Or is it what they say about lies and statistics?

We started well enough Bryon and looked to be completing well... but we were toothless up front and unfortunately garbage in defence.. non of it was Greenfield fault, some truly awful play in defence..Bryan wrote:I couldn’t get to the game so can only rely on comments here and the stats. Another flat, disappointing performance in a big game. Sadly this team frequently lacks character and leadership. Apart from the first 7-8 mins or so we were very flat. Jasper and the fourth line put up a fight but there wasn't much else. Some awful d zone play at times and some cracking individual mistakes from such as cormier and Harper. Very, very poor.
