Still part of the Xmas/New Year group of games, the visit of Manchester gives us an opportunity to see what they all got for Xmas if they do their usual tactic of throwing all the toys out of the pram.
In my mind, I’ve counted the Christmas period of games starting from the Cardiff game on the 20th of December until the 3rd of January 2026 against Fife. Seven games in total.
If I’d have been offered 6 points out of a possible 8 before this game, I reckon I would have taken them, bearing in mind we’ve played Cardiff in Cardiff, Coventry in Coventry and the two games against the Panthers.
With this game and until the Fife game, there’s another 6 points available (Storm x 2 and Fife at home). 5 out of 6 points would be par for me, but we need all 6 I think.
So out of the total 14 points available from the above dates and fixtures, if we take 11 or 12 out of 14, I don’t think that’s too bad.
As for this game, I hope there’s some hangover from the Heard v Storm incidents from the last game. Some extra Christmas spice would make this more entertaining.
I’d give McAdam this one and give Greenfield the game on New Year’s Day. Will we see Watling play?
4-2 Steelers.
