Curious game. For two periods it was lacklustre with Steelers looking stuffed. Then at the end of the second a 5+game that seemed over the top changed it totally. We scored 2 and suddenly realised we could win it and came alive.

I didn't watch the game, but followed the score/stats on Elite Prosects.

Tracking always had us slightly ahead, even before the 5 minute major, so I'd suggest it was a thoroughly deserved victory.

We had a few guys on -2 according to the stats, although I'm not sure how that is possible because wasn't one of their two on the powerplay?

It looked like a good night for the Watling/Dowd/Balmas line.....it will be interesting to see how that develops.

We were a little behind on faceoffs, although as usual Simpson was above 50%.

Interesting to see Manchester showing us how it's done in Cardiff.
