GAME THREAD: Steelers v Giants: SUN

Belfast not playing Saturday certainly gives them the rest advantage.
If we continue our trend of only playing well for a period or so, Belfast will win easily.
In fact, it wouldn’t surprise me if they win a 2nd grand slam in three seasons.
I’ll be keeping an eye on the result, I’m not bothering with the stream as I’m not enjoying paying my money to watch the Steelers at the moment
5-2 Belfast.

No Chance you are getting rolled over. Giants playing ok at the moment. Not playing well enough to have the confidence to come here and win... Steelers to take it by 2.
I'd suggest Belfast start as slight favourites.....the league table doesn't lie.
We have home advantage, but Belfast had the luxury of a night off.
A win would give us an outside chance of the title, so that should be a big incentive. Another minor incentive is that Belfast could only match our points total of last season if they win all their remaining games.....let's stop them.
As I mentioned on the other game thread, it will be interesting to see how the Watling/Dowd/Balmas line develops. It does leave us looking a bit short on the other lines though, something Belfast could exploit with their depth.

I wouldn't expect or hope for a physical performance from the Steelers, been sadly lacking far too often this season and would be a big surprise if started now.

I’d agree.paul johnston wrote: ↑Sun Feb 16, 2025 1:34 pmI wouldn't expect or hope for a physical performance from the Steelers, been sadly lacking far too often this season and would be a big surprise if started now.
There’s only one team in this game that is likely to play physical and it isn’t the Steelers. Another reason why I’m not bothering with the stream.
